Heritage Grants 2007

Judy Maddigan MP, Member for Essendon, is pleased to announce the 2007 round of Victoria's Heritage Grants are now open.

The grants programme supports the State Government's heritage strategy Victoria's Heritage: Strengthening our communities.

Councils and communities may apply for grants to conserve and interpret places and objects in the following categories:

• Repair and conservation of heritage places and objects

• Interpretation of heritage places and objects

• Local government heritage studies and advice

• Community collections management

"This program aims to increase community awareness, knowledge and understanding about heritage in our community." Mrs Maddigan said.

"Essendon Electorate has a very rich heritage which deserves to be preserved for future generations." She said.
