Arts Victoria Funding 2006 - 07 Now Open

Judy Maddigan MLA for Essendon is pleased to advise that applications for Arts Victoria Funding 2006/07 are now open.

Over 6.1 million in State Government funding is now available to support the work of Victorian artists and art companies across all art forms. Funding is available for a wide range of projects including:

• The creation and presentation of new work

• Regional touring

• Community partnerships

• Artists in schools

• Programming

• International touring and cultural exchange

This year sees the introduction of the new Annual Operations category, which has been created to support small arts organisations.

The Victoria Rocks program has also been introduced to provide funding to support the growth and vitality of the Victorian music industry.

Judy said "These grants are a great way to support local groups, and I encourage local artists to look at the funding streams available."
